HTML Element DL

Definition and usage

The
element creates a definition list. The most semantic usage of this would be, hence the name, a list of definitions such as a glossary of terms etc. However, definition lists are also used for other purposes. Perhaps another good use would be where a title and description is needed, say in the case of an RSS feed or site map.

Example

Example

Something that serves to explain or illustrate a rule.

Sample

A part of anything presented for inspection, evidence of the quality of the whole.

Output

Example
Something that serves to explain or illustrate a rule.
Sample
A part of anything presented for inspection, evidence of the quality of the whole.
